Sell Branded Overstock Without Damaging Your Brand

Overproduction, old packaging or a discontinued range can leave you with thousands of branded units and a real worry about where they'll end up. We buy branded overstock and agree where it can be resold before you accept, so it clears quietly without undercutting your retailers or your own prices.

  • Resale channels agreed upfront
  • Confidential from first enquiry
  • Export and trade-only options available

How do brands get rid of excess stock without hurting the brand?

Most brands clear excess stock through channels that don't compete with their normal sales: selling to a stock buyer who agrees to resell overseas or through trade-only channels, running private staff or member sales, or donating. The key is controlling where the stock goes. Selling to a buyer with agreed resale restrictions is usually the fastest way to clear large volumes while keeping that control.

The real risk with branded overstock

For a brand, excess stock isn't just a cash problem. If it ends up on the high street or online at a fraction of the price, it can:

Red and black sale tags showing heavy discounts
  • Undercut your retail and wholesale partners.
  • Train customers to wait for discounts.
  • Make the brand look cheaper than you want it to.
  • Cause friction with marketplaces and authorised resellers.

That's why many brands sit on excess stock for far too long. They know they need to clear it, but they don't trust where it will go. We built our process around solving exactly that.

What branded overstock do we buy?

  • Overproduction: production runs that came in larger than planned
  • Old packaging: stock in previous designs after a rebrand or packaging change
  • Discontinued ranges: lines you've stopped making or selling
  • Excess forward stock: stock bought ahead of demand that didn't arrive
  • Gift sets and seasonal editions after the season has ended
  • Marketing and promotional stock left over after a campaign

If the stock was made for a customer who then cancelled, see how we buy cancelled order stock.

How we protect your brand

Before you accept our offer, we agree in writing how and where your stock can be resold. Depending on what you need, that can include:

More restrictions usually mean a lower price, because the resale market is smaller. We'll be clear about the trade-off so you can choose the balance that suits you.

  • Export only: stock leaves the UK market entirely.
  • Trade only: sold to businesses, not directly to consumers.
  • Channel restrictions: kept off named marketplaces or away from specific retailers.
  • No brand name in listings: stock is not advertised using your brand.
  • Debranding: labels or branding removed where practical.
  • Confidentiality: your company name isn't shared with our buyers.

Branded overstock FAQs

Will my brand appear in listings after you buy the stock?

Not if you don't want it to. We can agree that the brand name isn't used in advertising, or that stock is only sold through channels where it won't be publicly listed.

Can you sell my stock outside the UK?

Yes. Export-only resale is one of the most common options brands choose, because it keeps the stock away from your UK customers.

Is it better to destroy excess branded stock?

Destroying stock protects the brand but recovers nothing and creates waste. Selling with agreed resale restrictions protects the brand and recovers cash, so most brands prefer it when it's possible.

Do you buy stock in old packaging?

Yes. Packaging changes are one of the most common reasons brands sell to us. Old packaging is often fine for export or trade channels.

Will you keep our enquiry confidential?

Yes. We don't share your name or stock details with anyone outside our team.
