Sell Stock in Bulk: Pallet, Trailer and Container Loads

When you've got a lot of stock to move, selling it a few cases at a time isn't realistic. We buy bulk and wholesale overstock in volume, from a stack of pallets to full containers, with one offer, one collection and one payment.

  • Full loads and mixed lines
  • Collection from your site, warehouse or port
  • One deal, one payment

Where can I sell stock in bulk?

You can sell bulk stock to other wholesalers, through trade marketplaces, at auction, or directly to a stock buyer who purchases whole loads. A stock buyer is usually the fastest option for large volumes because they take everything in one deal. You don't have to split the load, list it or wait for several smaller buyers to commit.

Why bulk overstock is hard to shift

The bigger the load, the fewer buyers there are who can take it. Your regular customers may only want a few pallets. Trade marketplaces mean dealing with lots of small enquiries. And while you're working through them, you're paying for warehouse space and the stock is getting older.

Common reasons we hear from wholesalers and importers:

Aerial view of shipping containers stacked at a UK port
  • A container arrived late and missed the season it was ordered for.
  • Minimum order quantities meant buying far more than was needed.
  • Demand dropped after the order was placed.
  • A customer reduced or cancelled a forward order.
  • Warehouse costs went up and slower lines need clearing to make room.

What bulk stock do we buy?

  • Full pallets of single or mixed product lines
  • Trailer loads from distribution centres and wholesale warehouses
  • Container loads of import stock, including stock still at the port or in bonded storage
  • Seasonal imports that arrived after the season
  • Wholesale overstock of current lines
  • Mixed warehouse clearances when you're consolidating or moving sites

If your bulk stock came from a cancelled customer order, our page on how to sell cancelled order stock explains how we handle it.

How selling bulk stock works

1. Send your stock list

A spreadsheet with product descriptions, barcodes, quantities, case and pallet counts and the stock location gives us everything we need. A packing list or bill of lading works for container stock.

2. Get one offer for the load

We price the whole load and send you a firm offer, usually within 24 hours. For very large loads, we may ask to view the stock or see samples first.

3. We arrange transport

We organise collection by curtain-sider, artic or container haulage, depending on the load. You just need it ready to go.

4. Get paid

You're paid before the stock leaves, with everything agreed in writing beforehand.

What affects the price of bulk stock?

  • Product and brand: branded and in-demand goods are worth more.
  • Depth of stock: large quantities of a few lines are often easier to place than many small lines.
  • Packaging: stock in sealed cases with barcodes is easier to resell.
  • Shelf life and season: long-dated and non-seasonal stock holds its value better.
  • Location: stock that's palletised and easy to load keeps transport costs down.
  • Duty and paperwork: for imported stock, clear documentation speeds things up.

Bulk stock FAQs

What's the minimum quantity you buy?

We're best suited to loads of 5 pallets or more, but we'll look at smaller lots of strong branded stock.

Can you collect from a port?

Yes, we can arrange collection from UK ports such as Felixstowe, Southampton and Tilbury. Let us know if the stock has cleared customs or is still in bond.

Do you buy mixed loads?

Yes. Mixed loads are fine, though a clear stock list makes it much easier to give you an accurate offer.

Do you need to see the stock first?

For most loads, a stock list and photos are enough. For very large or high-value loads, we may ask for samples or a site visit before confirming.

Can you take stock from a third-party warehouse?

Yes. We regularly collect from 3PLs and storage providers. We just need a release authorisation and booking reference.
